Pros

Amazing business model. A vibrant community. A thriving GLOBAL ecommerce platform that has helped millions of people across the world find what they want and build their lives around it. Truly unique. Plenty of challenges for building the next generation of ecommerce solutions for customers with comprehensive online shopping, payment and communication platforms.

Cons

Absolute lack of leadership and understanding of eBay's core strengths in the executive staff team. Both eBay and PayPal have succeeded given the simple and unique business models. The next couple of years will be the litmus test for eBay as it will witness a fight between the community that wants eBay to succeed and the internal strategies that are destined for failure

The press has been pretty one-sided about what is going on,
