Pros

Great brand. Strong heritage. Very dedicated people in the field and in lower levels at corporate.

Cons

Senior management is more focused on keeping themselves employed and moving up the food chain with Germany than they are about the people who work for them. Very unsupportive environment that lacks openness and communication such that information is traded as a commodity to get ahead. Not focused on the investment in people or workplace health.

Pros

Adidas is the number one sports apperal brand in the world. However, we were second to Nike in the USA. It was great to be apart of meetings and corperate game plans to how we as a staff could outwork Nike and become the number one reatiler in the United States.

Cons

Our home office was Portland, OR and our regional office meeting place was Dallas, TX. I was based out of Washington, DC so it's easy to see that we traveled all of the US for meetings, etc. I felt that we could cut costs by using "go-to-meeting" a little more, and get together as a group face to face maybe twice a year, not every other month. I felt it took away from my Area by traveling so much.

Pros

The benefit package at the time i was hired in was GREAT compared to other retail benefit packages. 401k, Health Care, Dental, Vision, all WAY UNDER what you will pay on your own. The environment (Outlet exp.) is good comparable to other retail outlets. If the store is structured correctly, you should have a very clear understanding of your job duties and responsiblities.

Cons

Adidas is currently cutting back on its benefit package and last I heard, eliminating most of its bonus payouts. Specific to the District I worked in, there was NO STRUCTURE or forward thinking to have capable individuals trained and in waiting to replace those leaving the company. It's Retail!!! Any way you look at it, Crazy hours, close to zero chance of getting an entire weekend off, and the always wonderful customers.
