Don’t do it!

Pros

Pay is OK compared to market but not worth the cons. ****Notice how any positive reviews tend to be all on or near the same day? They proactively campaign to newer employees and ask them to write positive reviews based on their experience which they do because they don’t know better.****

Cons

1. They spy one you - not in a normal corporate way but they can and do read your slack messages, personal text messages (on personal NOT corporate cell), emails both personal and corporate email addresses, take your contact list and import into their system and more…. 2. Management is absolutely abhorrent. 3. There may be decent ideas floating out there but execution is terrible and communication and transparency are severely lacking. 4. You are just a number. 5. They tout “unlimited PTO” but there are blackout dates and PTO is denied on a whim, even when it’s approved you are expected to still be avail at the drop of a dime. I know MULTIPLE people who have been on actual FMLA medical leaves and still expected to work and take calls from their inept managers… 6. If they let you go for any reason or during one of their multiple times per year layoffs, they extort you and make you sign a document saying they could do everything including physically harming you and you can do NOTHING about it in order to receive ANY compensation on your way out the door - this is impossible not to sign for most people who are losing their job unexpectedly and need money to provide for their families or pay rent. 7. Executives never actually address problems they just create new ones to mask the old ones and change the conversation for a bit 8. Strategies never get a chance to mature or see if they’re working, expect change every 2 weeks 9. Tenured C-suite are pushed out at the drop of a dime and it won’t even be acknowledged to employees that they’re no longer there 10. They promote the least qualified to use as a scapegoat for when things go wrong vs. leadership taking accountability for poor decisions 11. EVERYONE is just a number to Henry. ~~~Do NOT work here~~~

The claims that ZoomInfo accesses employees’ personal text messages on personal devices, reads personal email accounts, or threatens physical harm are completely false. We do not have the technical capability or legal authority to do so, and such conduct would violate the law and our policies. ZoomInfo’s separation agreements are standard legal documents and do not prevent anyone from reporting concerns to appropriate government agencies. If you believe misconduct occurred, we encourage you to report specifics through official HR and compliance channels. – Chad Herring, ZoomInfo CHRO

A truly broken organization

Pros

Never a dull moment due to the constant chaos

Cons

I would be highly suspicious of any 5 star ratings for this organization and the motivations behind posting them. This is a truly broken organization that encourages chaos and backstabbing.

We understand that you had a very negative experience, and we take any concern about our culture seriously. However, anonymous feedback without specific examples or details makes it difficult for us to investigate issues or have a meaningful dialogue. If you are willing to share more concrete information, we encourage you to contact our HR team so we can look into your concerns appropriately. – Chad Herring, ZoomInfo CHRO

Pros

The Colleagues: The only redeeming quality of this place is the people working in the trenches. My peers were incredible, smart, and genuinely willing to help each other survive the day-to-day. "Opportunity": Technically, there is a massive amount of opportunity to improve things here, simply because almost everything is broken.

Cons

Toxic Leadership & "Yes Men": The senior leadership team seems more interested in fighting amongst themselves to become the CEO’s favorite than actually running a sustainable business. To make matters worse, the core staff surrounding them is 90% "yes men"—hand-picked specifically because they will never say no. The "HiPPO" Culture (Highest Paid Person's Opinion): Logic, data, and customer feedback do not matter here. Title wins every debate. Because no one actually talks to customers to find out what they want, we operate entirely on the whims of senior leadership. ** stifled Innovation:** If an idea doesn’t come from the CEO or his inner circle, you aren’t allowed to fix it—even if it’s obviously broken. Strategy via Whiplash: We are constantly tasked with building, marketing, or selling "crazy ideas" that pivot 20 times during the process. There is no stability. Zero Retrospectives: We never look back. We launch projects based on gut feelings, and we never analyze if they actually worked. We just move immediately to the next chaotic initiative. Delusional AI Expectations: Leadership throws the acronym "AI" around without actually understanding how the technology works. They assume it is magic and demand it function according to their imagination rather than technical reality. Massive Burnout: The expectation to execute these constantly changing, unrealistic projects "overnight" is crushing. The burnout across teams is palpable. Summary: This was, without exaggeration, the worst job of my life.
