Pros

The CEO has genuine vision and is compelling in small settings. Some very talented and committed people across the org.

Cons

The culture has serious structural problems. Layoffs are reframed as reorgs with little transparency — you find out through rumors or after the fact. Strategy shifts constantly; product direction changes monthly, making it hard to build anything durable or advance your career in a meaningful direction. Career growth is real only if you’re in a high-visibility area and willing to self-promote aggressively. Doing good work quietly doesn’t move the needle. Credit-taking and territorial behavior are rewarded over collaboration. Leadership tone is a problem. The CEO has publicly berated employees during all-hands meetings, which creates a culture of fear that trickles down. People learn to stay quiet rather than raise real issues.

We are sorry to hear your experience did not reflect the environment we aim to build. We take concerns about transparency, collaboration, and communication seriously. While we cannot address individual situations here, we value candid input that helps us strengthen our culture. We appreciate the time you took to share your perspective. – Chad Herring, ZoomInfo CHRO

Pros

Pay is OK compared to market but not worth the cons. ****Notice how any positive reviews tend to be all on or near the same day? They proactively campaign to newer employees and ask them to write positive reviews based on their experience which they do because they don’t know better.****

Cons

1. They spy one you - not in a normal corporate way but they can and do read your slack messages, personal text messages (on personal NOT corporate cell), emails both personal and corporate email addresses, take your contact list and import into their system and more…. 2. Management is absolutely abhorrent. 3. There may be decent ideas floating out there but execution is terrible and communication and transparency are severely lacking. 4. You are just a number. 5. They tout “unlimited PTO” but there are blackout dates and PTO is denied on a whim, even when it’s approved you are expected to still be avail at the drop of a dime. I know MULTIPLE people who have been on actual FMLA medical leaves and still expected to work and take calls from their inept managers… 6. If they let you go for any reason or during one of their multiple times per year layoffs, they extort you and make you sign a document saying they could do everything including physically harming you and you can do NOTHING about it in order to receive ANY compensation on your way out the door - this is impossible not to sign for most people who are losing their job unexpectedly and need money to provide for their families or pay rent. 7. Executives never actually address problems they just create new ones to mask the old ones and change the conversation for a bit 8. Strategies never get a chance to mature or see if they’re working, expect change every 2 weeks 9. Tenured C-suite are pushed out at the drop of a dime and it won’t even be acknowledged to employees that they’re no longer there 10. They promote the least qualified to use as a scapegoat for when things go wrong vs. leadership taking accountability for poor decisions 11. EVERYONE is just a number to Henry. ~~~Do NOT work here~~~

The claims that ZoomInfo accesses employees’ personal text messages on personal devices, reads personal email accounts, or threatens physical harm are completely false. We do not have the technical capability or legal authority to do so, and such conduct would violate the law and our policies. ZoomInfo’s separation agreements are standard legal documents and do not prevent anyone from reporting concerns to appropriate government agencies. If you believe misconduct occurred, we encourage you to report specifics through official HR and compliance channels. – Chad Herring, ZoomInfo CHRO
