Pros

Very busy environment that makes you tough and gets you ready for real life. Nice clothes. Your co-workers quickly become your family outside of work.

Cons

You're forced to start every shift 10 minutes earlier and you DON'T get paid for it (someone call the anti-slavery police!!) if you're contracted 20 hours p/w you'll do 30 but you'll never get a 30 hour contract, therefore your holiday entitlement and London weighting stay at 20. Same if you're contracted 30, you'll do 40 and so on. No training at all,the poorest communication ever seen, there seems to be a little "mafia" running the store. Managers don't really speak english. Staff discount isn't particularly generous. Rude mannered, nasty, demanding clientele comprised almost exclusively of incredibly rude tourists.

Pros

The employees are nice. There are good managers, but the ones that are fair and work hard, are the ones that get treated the worst.

Cons

Where does one begin? Terrible values. Seriously disgraceful. Pathetic 15% discount The uniforms are ok for men, low quality, but tailored none the less. For women however, they are low quality, thick, hot, unflattering, and usually fall apart after 2 weeks. And managers have the nerve to get mad when you need a new one. You get paid for one job but will do 3 or 4. Discrimination is rampant. I've dealt with racial slurs and comments by two different managers. If you're Hispanic you will get promoted, no matter how stupid or incompetent you are. If you're young and white, the more obnoxious you are i.e. lazy, late, absent, etc., the more likely you will be promoted. Blacks usually don't last long, because they must be perfect, or else. The only reason one happens to be promoted is if they are desperate to fill position, they beg for it, or have worked at the company literally forever, and then they make their existence a living hell. Part-time means 0 benefits. No matter how long you're with the company. You get nothing. If you, God forbid, get sick, for a week, they might just fire you, depending on how heartless your manager is. The hourly wage for associates is a joke considering the fact that you are also a visual coordinator, stock room person, and manager all in one.
