Pros

The best part of the job was my cross functional team. They made me look like I knew what I was doing (I really did, they just made me look better) and I would always give the credit to them. If you like fast paced, it’s a great place for that experience. Work-life balance is pretty good, just make sure you set the boundaries at the beginning.

Cons

Where to even start…in a fast paced environment there is no autonomy or empowerment to make quick project level decisions about day to day, or even minor issues as they come up. Management and Senior Management teams have too many micromanagers causing the lack of empowerment and autonomy to run projects or make decisions. Management pursues non-issues instead of focusing on the real issues causing a shift in workload where the good employees have to pick up the slack of the bad employees. The good employees end up getting punished and the bad employees get the praise. There is very little room for growth or advancement within the company. Way too many processes to complete the simple tasks. These processes can change on a whim, with little to no communication of the change and even less training on the changes or new processes.

Pros

Vacation time: You are able to purchase additional vacation days

Cons

My experience at this company has been quite disheartening due to its pervasive “Good Ole Boys Club” culture. Despite the initial promises of growth and a collaborative environment, it quickly became apparent that advancement and opportunities were not based on merit but on longstanding personal connections and favoritism. Key positions and promotions are typically reserved for those within the inner circle, creating a stagnant environment for others who are equally, if not more, qualified. This culture stifles innovation, demoralizes hardworking employees, and creates a toxic atmosphere where efforts are overlooked unless you’re part of the in-group. Additionally, the management’s lack of transparency and reluctance to address these issues only perpetuates the problem. Constructive feedback is often ignored, and attempts to suggest improvements are dismissed or met with resistance. For anyone considering joining this company, be aware that breaking into the established network of the “Good Ole Boys Club” can be an uphill battle. If you’re looking for a workplace where your skills and contributions are genuinely valued and can lead to fair advancement, this might not be the place for you.
