Terribly unsteady and frail compensation. Commission schedules constantly change (3x in ONE year) territories reshuffled, and very, very few seasoned reps, due to turnover and not promotion. Huge and interfering divisions between the retail and ECP team creates infighting and a lack of harmony. Retail provides a huge revenue stream, but is frowned upon and lacks recognition and incentive. Retail doesn’t get recognized at annual convention, products get removed from biz development reps commission, and HUGE (30%) year over year blanket vs indexed territory goals make collecting commission checks of any size extremely rare. If you like making money as a salesperson, this isn’t the place to do it. Most of the retail BDR’s that are there are unhappy, and waiting for a better opportunity, or waiting to retire.
