      Pros

      Technological innovation is second to none, good company culture. Great products and many different divisions. Almost any type of career can be pursued at Carl Zeiss, ranging from accounting all the way applications specialists in various fields.

      Cons

      Opportunities for growth need to pursued in Germany. If you don't mind moving, then this is not a problem.

      Pros

      Most of the people who work for this company are all around good people with a passion for the product and the customers that they serve.

      Cons

      - While most people who work here are great, the upper levels of management are horrible. They are manipulative, unskilled, and unkind. - The corporate culture is one of fear, people are scared they may lose their job, or have their compensation drastically changed and so they do not act. - This company is a prime example of one with too many managers and not enough workers. You will work very long hours just to accomplish your basic job functions while multiple managers make additional requests of you.

      Slow to market with product differentiation in many categories. Many management changes that delay critical decisions.
