Toxic culture of management malpractice.

Gain some laboratory and workplace experience.

Cons

Toxic management culture, particularly within the laboratory managers and within wider HR. Many instances of bullying, emotional manipulation and coercive control. Inter-staff personal relationships are common. Very misogynistic with women typically earning half of their male counterparts.

Pros

- Good compensation package - Nice office setting - Not aggressive business environment - management can move deadlines, and project delays are normally accepted if you have good reasons for that

Cons

- Often changing priorities and org structure - Aggressive cost-cutting and many collective dismissals globally over the course of the last 2 years, with many unexplained and not always consecutive decisions. Global restructuring process was also delegated to some people who were not very successful in the previous round of restructuring. - A lot of elderly employees who are mainly interested in the security of their jobs, following their established ways of working, and are not open to innovation/change. - Overall slow career growth - it might take ages for you to be promoted, as many people keep their positions for many years, even up to retirement.
