      Chaos, no direction or engagement, stagnant

      Flexible working hours, good benefits

      Cons

      not enough developers doing the actual work, way too many "managers" who spend their days in meetings talking about the same topics over and over again. complete lack of strategic direction and very uninspiring and disengaged bosses who play the blame game and only talk to a few people. those making the decisions are in survival mode and quite insecure so the support you receive is non existent. what is worse, is that actually close to nothing gets done, and the people who care leave out of frustration. it's not a safe place for proactivity.

      Moving in the right direction

      Pros

      Interesting work, potentially massive impact, most colleagues are nice. Culture is moving in the right direction with the removal of Theranos-style employees. Previously these had been toxic for company culture so things are improving!

      Cons

      It's still early stages so a bit chaotic. If you need constant direction and supervision then this isn't the place for you. If you're a failed academic then this also isn't your place! Culture needs ongoing improvement to make it people centric organization!
