Pros

YPO is a complex membership organization which provides great learning opportunities. The workforce and membership are dynamic and being global, you really get to know and learn from people around the world.

Cons

The nature of the organization is for the members to serve in volunteer leadership positions on an annual basis which brings in new ideas and energy which can bring about changes in direction for projects and goals.

Revolving Door in IT

Pros

- Huge budget - Almost unmatchable opportunity for growth (across all departments within IT, can't necessarily speak for the other departments but they seemed the same)

Cons

- Massive politics in operations - Revolving door of senior leadership constantly "reinventing IT". - Web/mobile apps get green-fielded every ~2-3 years as leadership changes. - On a whole, suffers from severe short/long-term memory loss.
