It's a great place to work for international development. However, its only great if you are staff. This is not the best place to be if you are a consultant.

Cons

There is no job security or stability for consultants.

Upward mobility is not linked to performance but connections Difficult to find a stable position in Washington, DC Salary in Washington, DC is extremely low (especially compared to field offices)
