Pros

You have the option to take on questions you are generally interested in, providing they have enough readily available.

Cons

I've been with Wonder for more than a year now. One of the reasons I don't often take on work there is the process is continually changing. I can't even imagine how much time and money is wasted continually retooling productivity and streamlining for efficiency. That might sound great to you, but things change so much that you can't get used to doing things one way. Now everything is broken down on such a granular level that it doesn't seem like you are actually doing research at all. Maybe this is because instead of paying the best researchers full time or even part time it's cheaper to crowdsourcing literally everything. Maybe that's why they are continually hiring, usually with a different job title for the same job. I learned more about research from this work, but ultimately it seems too unstable to continue with much longer.

Thanks for the feedback. To be clear, the reason we rolled out the recent upgrades wasn't to save money - the changes have actually allowed us to increase how much we pay researchers, and make the research process easier. By allowing researchers to specialize in whichever parts of the research process they like most (writing, editing, reviewing, etc.), researchers end up earning more money using the focused skill sets they enjoy. And the reason we're continually growing the Wonder research community is because our client base is growing and we get more and more research requests each week! I'd be happy to walk through some of the recent platform upgrades with you and help get you ramped up. Just drop me an email! --> research@askwonder.com

Pros

This is the best family (best way to describe Wonder) to be a part of if you enjoy solving really challenging problems with other brilliant people.

Cons

There are so many fun opportunities to work on it's sometimes hard to stay focused.

I find it difficult to think of any.

These guys are a bunch of crooks. Low pay, revolving door of new employees and here today, gone tomorrow company.

I prefer to Subaru over Volvo, but that's neither here nor there ;^) Look - Wonder's not for everyone. We have an incredible community of people who love to learn - students, professors, retirees, expats, stay-at-home-parents, journalists, military spouses, and more - who choose to use Wonder to earn money on a flexible schedule doing something intellectually engaging. Not everyone likes working remotely, or doing research, and that's fine. But if you do want to give it another shot or discuss your experience in greater detail, I'd be happy to set up a time to talk --> send me an email at research@askwonder.com
