Pros

Very streamlined portal and easy to use interface. Sometimes the topics are interesting. You can work when, where, and how much you want.

Cons

There is a significant learning curve in which you will complete lots of work for which you are not paid. They do not allow for revision of work and simply don't pay you if your work is not accepted. This is counter to every other contract gig I've ever had. Some of the requests cannot be fulfilled by information the Internet. This is why people are paying the $75! They need to give analysts log-in subscriptions to databases where this information can actually be found or allow them to say they have searched for x length of time and the information is just not there. It is very frustrating to spend three or four hours on a project and then get paid nothing because the request was beyond the scope of information available online.

Pros

Able to work on your own schedule. I used Wonder for income after I had been laid off, and ran into a lot of scams out there. At first, I thought this was going to fall into that category as well. But it didn't. It took a couple of months to learn the ropes - the format is very specific and you need to follow the formats - and they are all provided. Once I learned the formats, and learned where to find information, I was more than covering my bills, and was able to have a bit of a social life again. When you start, it will take a while to get a sourcing or writing job completed. Once you learn the tricks, you'll be able to complete jobs in about an hour. Make sure to stick to topics you enjoy or want to learn about!

Cons

It is painstaking starting out. While there are templates, and your work gets reviewed, it can be upsetting if your job gets kicked to another person. Reviewers should not only review, but instead mentor. While it may seem like that's what they are doing, sometimes the reviewers comments don't help very much, or they haven't read the important details pertaining to the job. Something changed with the website which doesn't allow me to see sourcing jobs available - I don't like being given a topic. I work full time, and when I do get to work on Wonder, I want to be able to pick something I enjoy!

Pros

The flexibility of working hours. It's great to be able to work at any time of day and anywhere in the world.

Cons

I worked for Wonder at a time when we could choose our own jobs and the pay was fantastic. The new system has dropped the pay level and you can no longer choose work that suits you. Work without compensation. I had a sourcing job rejected as the writers didn't like the style of work required. Got a bad rating on a job that was sent with one minor change and $0 for a job that took 3 hours. Compensation can vary widely and while I agree with the reviewing process in general, it can cause major issues. A new system that requires you to maintain a score level above 4.4 out of 5 or you will be dropped from the program. Even for a long time employee, it's almost impossible to maintain that score.
