You will not want to work anywhere else

Pros

I feel sad for the people for whom TransferWise is their first employer, because it effectively ruins their lives - they will not want to work for any other company with less enthusiasm for their goal. The purpose of the company really unites the teams and creates a great atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

Cons

Like I said - the company culture and feeling of empowerment may haunt you forever. If there are any cons, its raising the bar so high. While you get enough perks in your job, it's not a company that lures you in with the promise of free lunches. If you're looking for a hefty benefits package, you shouldn't be looking at the start-up world anyway.

Pros

Every day I drive to work with a smile on my face, because I get to do one amazingly challenging, and rewarding job, and to be around a bunch of so many inspiring and smart people. You are loved, supported, and heard at all times. It's like a second family you will gain when working here.

Cons

Absolutely nothing to add here.

Pros

I moved from a big corporate to work at TransferWise. It has been an incredible experience. Some specific examples: - Complete decision making autonomy within your area of responsibility. An end to time wasted getting "buy-in", or writing committee papers. - Pace of progress is stunning. Every week you see incredible changes and your own impact being brought to life. Your time at work = improvements to the life of customers. - Start-up vibe. No more suits and sucking up. Hello table tennis, cool freebies, and fun atmosphere in the office.

Cons

Growing so fast there is a risk that the culture will change for the worse over the year ahead. I'm optimistic that it will not, but this will need strong vigilance and action from leadership.
