Pros

Fair warning: I'm not going to sugarcoat my review here because I don’t want you, the reader, to believe the fake positive reviews piled up on Wise’s Glassdoor page. Instead, I want to help you understand what a rotten culture they’ve cultivated (and choose not to fix) despite receiving heaps of constructive and critical feedback both on Glassdoor and internally from employee surveys from London, Tallin, Austin, etc. Having said all of that, let’s get started with the positives:
 * Free snacks and lunch twice a week (This is specific to the ATX office) * Very friendly colleagues, great office space * The pay is okay for entry/mid-level and the insurance is decent (in the U.S)

Cons

Now let’s talk about the negatives based around the core values they never keep: * This isn't just a job, we're a revolution. False. Training is a total train wreck when it comes to learning about your role at the company and how important your role in the “revolution” is. When you’re onboarding, they really make the entire company feel like a dream job. Once training ends, you learn your trainers gave you outdated information or they’ve given you non-helpful tips for working cases. Despite this, you’re expected to be expert level within your first 3 months on the floor, which is completely bonkers * We get it done. False. Unrealistic, unattainable KPI’s around quality is demanded every quarter (95% for quality scores despite most performances around the globe averaging out under 80%). If you fail to hit 95% consistently, you’re put on a PIP * Customers > team > ego. This is outright false. Chaotic leadership decisions don’t address any existing customer complaints or reducing bottlenecks to allow teams to work faster/more efficiently to deliver for customers because leadership is too concerned with sticking to terrible processes that don’t work for teams or customers * No drama. Good karma. Also false. Favoritism is so rampant across the org and if you’re not a favorite, you might as well see yourself out. Before leaving, I interviewed for 5+ roles internally and was denied for all (when I finally gave up and tried interviewing outside Wise, I instantly got offered a new job with higher salary). It feels like unless you are a manager’s favorite, you most likely will not be recognized and move up Note: If you’re in ATX or another market Wise is hiring in, you will see tons of videos talking about how awesome it is to work at the company and how much they value work/life balance, their mission goals, etc. It’s all snake oil. They do care what you offer, do not value your free time and don’t value any of your contributions. Across the org, upper management has no idea what they’re doing day-by-day.
