Where to start.....
Bad leadership and lack of foresight from Wipro. In a nutshell, they don't give a hoot about Buildit.
Terrible Wipro sales team, they only know how to sell cheap engineering bodies/ outsourcing. If you are a high performing engineer who keep up with the latest tech. Do not expect to use any of those skills.
Terrible performance measure. It is all about utilisation. If you are billable for 3 months but bring in 3 hundred grands. You are deemed less successful than being billable for 9 months, making a 1000 bucks.
People are constantly on bench as the sales team don't care about bringing any project to buildit. They give all the first dips to their buddies in India, and when it all goes to hell, they ask Buildit to help them out.
Most of the clients are rooted in legacy system and monolith server, meaning that no serious digital transformation will ever take place in the next five years and Wipro love working with these guys.
This means that Wipro as a business is completely unequipped to deal with the future. Once all their existing clients moved on to modern tech over the next 5, 10, 15 years. What will Wipro be left with?
There is a reason why Cognizant and Accenture are growing all the time while Wipro share has stagnated and the CEO is stepping down.
Of course, even if you are asked to help out with one of the project. You could be doing a fantastic job and the clients are in love with you. But guess what, Bam! the sales team and account manager kick you off the project and bring all their buddies back.
If you like what you do whether that is FE, BE, DevOps, architect. My advice is to look elsewhere.
If you have a job offer from them and reading this then don't take in unless you are flat broke and this is the only thing you are offered.
