Pros

some good people who really want to work hard Wish I could say more

Cons

poor pay, Indian led mgmt within US does not understand how to operate within US Very minimal female senior mgmt in US (Thought is the head of sales - female - is just a figure head) No other senior women or men who were born in the US. Poor benefits - most benefits are for Indian based employee's Poor hardware (phones, laptops, etc) Poor VoIp for home office and traveling employee's. Their IT team can't even figure it out. What does that tell you. Refuse to book long trips for mgmt in business class Expect people to book the cheapest, and I mean the cheapest hotels available - More like a Motel

Pros

I gave it a lot of thought and wasn't able to convince myself of any good thing which highlights wipro , but any will list some for formality 1.Provides tax benefits , so the inhand salary will be more . 2.No dress code .Can expect to see good chicks in campus :) .

Cons

This is the section where i can write a bible , here we go 1.9.5 average for a working day , It doesn't matter if u have work or not .You have to maintain 9.5 hrs average . 2.Company has no policies which talks about yearly hike , the hike given is on adhoc basis and has no rules tagged to it . 3.Distribution of hike is manager based , yes u got it right . They will suck all your blood and pay peanuts at the end . 4.Promotion , again depends on managers . And hardly any manager has the skills to rate resources . 5.The company mainly runs on WASE candidates , they are poor graduates (BSC) folks taken out from college and will work as trainees for four years to get a MS degree from BITS pilani .Here is where wipro saves lot of money , as the WASE folks cannot ask for onsite , promotion and if they quit no degree ...Heard that these morons have got permission to open some WIPRO academy and i am sure there are lakhs of people who will fall for it . 6.Because of WASE folks attrition rate is under control and BE folks become expensive employees .Hence company hires more WASE folks now . 7.Wipro pays QPLC , which is part of the salary on quaterly basis . And if you quit in middle of the quarter , Madarchod will eat your QPLC .No ethics for these blood sucking policies . At the end i would like to say ,If life lives you with no option then go for wipro and make sure that you run out of that place when u get any chance . Hope this helps you my fellow INDIANS . Cheers

Pros

Numerous patents, C-level management are engaged, global strength

Cons

VPs are not real VPs, but tend to be what other companies would view as middle management - ineffective middle management. Global Induction training introduces you to key executives, which shares their vision and focus, and gives you a feeling of a great and competent company that is going places. One level of management down and it's all chaos and confusion, without an ounce of strategic focus or direction - everything is driven by quarterly results.
