Pros

This position allows you to work when you want, 24/7, remote from home or on the road, with a few exceptions. Management team is very supportive. Company provides excellent training and support. Company culture is awesome from what I can tell so far (month three).

Cons

Have to train on your own time and dime and pass a difficult set of exams. Tasks are not easy and after three months, your performance is evaluated and if you're not meeting the minimum standards, you'll have to retrain on your own time. Pay is okay but there has been no mention of any room for financial mobility in this particular position. However, they encourage you to apply for other jobs within the company if interested. You're a W-2 employee as well.

An internship in this company is the ideal opportunity for both professional and personal growth for many reasons, such as: all the things learned during the internship are useful and are going to be helpful in a future career, it is the perfect environment to connect with other people and to learn about diversity, any type of internship is a skill development tool (communication, technical or organization skills, for example) and, last but not least, an internship in Welocalize is the perfect way to start gaining work experience for a future full time job in the company mostly because of the flexible schedule that allows the intern to enjoy the experience of being both a student and an employee (how was my case).

Cons

I do not know to name a disadvantage of the internship.
