Pros

close to home, fun work and great respect in the community. interesting information in the banking business. career opportunites abound for us in victoria. communication within the local management is great. pay is fair and we know we are worth more and can probibly get more if we move to another bank but we continue to stay because the company offers a lot to us. employee morale in the victoria banks is low but varied among managers.

Cons

their manditory use of customer worksheets and morale between branches is at it's worse. it's almost like you are in a reality show and competing in individual challenges and not as a team. the goals are reasonable and can be obtained if more mentoring between bankers was utilized and not forced use of the caw sheet.

Pros

It is a great place to start a career in finance. They pay a good minimum salary and the company pays tuition reimbursement.

Cons

There are significant moral and ethical challenges. There is extreme stress related to production. The leads are used, reused, and ultimately overused. Management is not based on ability to lead but sales production so sometimes there will be managers who will power trip and are just unfit to lead. It gets really boring sitting in an office starring at a computer screen all day. The products are inferior and people are more knowledgeable about the subprime market now. Lastly, you are only worth the money you can consistently bring to the company.

Pros

Could be a lot more considering the cost of living. Not to mention for the amount of work you do you pay doesn't equal out. Notice most people that are venting are the coordinators or reps that's because we do the most work with the least respect and pay. Which ties into my next point. Respect: You are not respected unless you stay on the same lines as everyone else. If you think outside of the box or "go against the grain" Your looked at like you have two heads. Then they take your idea and make say they came up with it. Management doesn't practice what they preach. They consistently beat you over the head with "Integrity" then you read a job announcement for a position that was not posted, or better yet we never had one. They lie and if your anything like me you catch them in the lie and they lie about the lie. It makes you think dag were they lying? I have to be honest bonus is good, benefits are good vacation and personal time is good. We should have more sick days and more strict consequences for people that abuse FMLA, Like NO BONUS!!! I'm tried of people working like they are teachers (180 days out the year) and sitting pretty when it comes bonus time.

Cons

Long hours and low pay. Locations are not great.
