Pros

None, I use to like working here then after a change in management everything took a turn for the worse.

Cons

Working there; if management would worry about the well-being of employees and not just them it maybe different. Also I'm in the reserves and have been and it's like pulling teeth to get my drill weekends off to fulfill my obligations to my contract for the military.

Pros

Some of the people.....from middle management on down. Very loyal to see the business succeed.

Cons

Lack of executive support. Compartmentalized departments, lack of teamwork, unfair treatment in many instances, lack of diversity, lack of company recognizing loyalty to the SPM and Weir name. Backstabbing at every corner.

Pros

It felt like working for a family company, even though they are not, in the sense everyone knows everyone. including from white collar to blue collar departments. "Everyone" was friendly and helpful, across all departments and businesses. Everyone works well together. When they purchase new equipment, they buy the best to meet the requirements of work it needs to do. Pay was on par or better than the industry standard.

Cons

In the administrative clerical field, there is little room for career growth, unless you want to be a PA or Secretary or go into Marketing. They "hate" change. Most changes are not made for the good of employees. When new paper based procedures are created they are tedious and lengthy and drawn out and not for the better. Get worst each time. The 'Weir' way, as employees call it. They are slow at buying new equipment and only buy it when old equipment is completing falling apart.
