Pros

Decent benefits and 401k. A few good work colleagues

Cons

Weir is a large company. but in the Sayre PA branch , the management is a joke. Only certain people aka: "buddies" get raises and proper treatment. If you dont -cough cough- bend and conform to anything they wish then you will not see anything good from this company. Example, i have been with weir since early 2012, moved to a field service technician in the beginning of 2018, I have never called off of work. You have 1 hour to return phone calls, I missed 1 single phone call due to extenuating circumstances (have been written up and threatened to be terminated for) have gone above and beyond all that was asked of me and still have never seen a single raise. Ive been told 4 times that my raise is coming and "awaiting paperwork " . Maybe other branches are better, but the wellhead division in Sayre PA is a complete joke. We have an incredibly high quit rate. So far 2 people this month have quit, and I completely understand why. Expect phone calls at anytime 24hr -7 days a week, regardless if you just finished a 12+ hour job and have been home for 1 hour. They do not care about their employees or for following the company guidelines and procedures let alone the labor laws of Pennsylvania. Started out as a decent place to work, but the past couple year have progressively turned into a terrible and overly stressful work environment. PS. Training is a complete joke as well.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are working hard to develop and embrace a culture of equality where we can all truly be ourselves, feel like we belong and have our voices heard. Where this isn’t happening, we want to know and we are disappointed to read about the experience you are having. So that we can see how we can make improvements to help us do things better, we have shared your feedback with relevant leaders. I would also encourage you to contact Dave Warnick or another member of the Human Resources or senior leadership team that you are comfortable discussing this with directly so we can take this offline and discuss it in confidence in more detail. In the meantime we do appreciate you highlighting your experience and we hope you can help work with us to make some positive changes for you and your colleagues.
