Pros

I have to say that the 20+ snacks in the snack room was great. All you can eat. You are assigned to a team of 10-20 that focuses on a specific category. You become very knowledgeable about the products you sale to customers. At least once a month, your team will go out based on your team's pick. Each person get $20 from the company to eat & drink. Also, the Christmas party was wonderful. Can't say anything bad about the 6 hour open bar option and all you can eat food and desert. We had it at a fancy hotel near the pier. The people you work with are usually very nice. Your manager is very friendly and will always help you out. If you need to take a day off the next day with good justification, your manager is usually okay with it. You will definitely learn how the e-commerce business works, from suppliers via transport all the way to the front door of the customer. You will learn how to run a successful e-commerce company because the company is good at what they do. You also get a nice view of the city. Oh yea, you will get a chance to be in a raffle to go to the Celtic games, Bruin hockey game, symphonies, and ballets. Most important, there's numerous opportunities to move to other jobs/dept. like marketing, bus. intel, etc. BIG PLUS!

Cons

The pay is barely ok. But I have to say that the company is working to improve on their pay system. Base pay is about $30,000 per year from when you start out answering emails from customers. This is just their way to get you use to their system and how the business operates. After that, your manager will move you to handling phone calls from customers and your base pay will range between $27-$34K base on performance standing within your team. They will evaluate your base pay performance quarterly. Also, you will get bonuses per month between $200-$800 depending on your performance standing within you team. Bonuses is measured by how much profit you bring in. The competition on a scale of 1-10 is about 8.

Pros

Convenient location, a very open office which allows people to make friends and interact with team members, fairly good benefits

Cons

The pay is horrible! It's alright for people in part time working for hourly wage but even that has gone down at least $2/hr since I started two years ago. There is really no room for advancement, a recent restructure has made it impossible to communicate with management. You need to actively track people down to get any type of feedback on performance, employees are generally treated as disposable and are made to feel as such
