Pros

Amazing people. Wayfair does an amazing job hiring smart and fun people. You will also get to work with lots of technology very quickly that looks great on your resume.

Cons

Management does not know about management. Lower levels have clear paths of professional development but the more senior you get (level 2 up) the more quickly those paths vanish. They DO NOT negotiate and pay is well below industry. Internal promotions happen but rarely off cycle or before 1 year is up and never quite get to the same level as those hired externally.

Pros

The office location and the gym membership

Cons

If you're interested in working in a frat house this is the place for you. The work is tedious and extremely boring. The entire office is very unorganized and I was blatantly lied to in my interview. You are paid next to nothing and expected to work 8-5 or longer. I woke up every morning in tears knowing I had to go back to this office. I'm SO happy I got out when I did, I know some people truly love to work there and this might be the place for you but unfortunately it was NOT for me. My senior management clearly didn't like me and made this very obvious day in and day out.

Pros

Great Company Culture: One good point about Wayfair is the open culture. You won't find secluded offices here. Great Co-Workers: With the unique range of hires, you'll find some great co-workers and possibly turn these into great friendships. Great Experience Builder: If your going to work for Wayfair, the least you can do is take your experience from them and pass it down to a company that is more career orientated, unless your working in something other than Customer Service.

Cons

I am being 100% honest with this review. Please consider this before working for Wayfair: Management will not work with your schedule: Want to go back to School, etc... Don't plan on it, unless the class directly benefits the company. Also good-luck getting a manager to even talk to you about an adjustment. Unfair Adherence Policies: If you miss a break due to helping a customer, expect this to count against you. Low Pay with increased responsibility: If you start working in customer service, expect to start with one job role. Within 1-2 months, you'll be forced to take phone calls, emails, and handle live chat responses. Micro-Management: Even if your staying on tasks, your KPI's are well above averages, you'll be micro-managed. Inexperienced Managers: If your working in customer experience, chances are you'll be assigned to a young 18-20 year old manager, that has absolutely no management experience. If you have a question for a manger, don't expect a solid company informed answer. Low Compensation: The pay:work ratio, here is not that great, but it's not the worst. You'll have to hit a bonus every month to get a decent paycheck. Don't be fooled, because the bonus structure is always changing, every quarter its being modified and the amounts have dropped every time. Eventually getting a bonus here will be nearly impossible, and it's becoming just like any other call center. Increased Turn Over: Expect a 65-70% turn over rate. Most consultants don't stay for more then a year due to high turn over and it show's with new faces always popping up to replace the hold ones.
