Good and Bad

Pros

Fantastic time off and paid vacation - the longer you work there, the more days you get. Free snacks and subsidized drinks, plus fresh fruit delivered weekly. Great benefit plan compared to other companies. It is a really young company and the parties we have can be really fun. Also, we get free tickets to Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics games by lottery and the local symphony and shows.

Cons

Pretty terrible pay. Compared to the industry, we get paid extremely low salaries. The offset is that they say the benefit plan and free snacks contribute to that. I would rather buy my own snack snacks and have more money given to me.

Pros

The best part was that you got your own desk, a nice fast and up to date computer with dual monitors. Free snacks (they're slowly removing this) Nice people to your face... but stabs you in the back.

Cons

Nice people to your face... but stabs you in the back. A lot of the management is nice to your face, but when they "coach" you for something, they're relentless. Office culture is worse than high school, and the management joins in on the drama, making it worse.

Best for fast movers

Pros

This is the kind of place that is well suited for those that crave immediate impact. They value those that can get things done quickly, even if it's not perfect. The mantra is Facebook-esque: Move fast and break things. There is a high tolerance for mistakes, but low tolerance for slowness. This is also the kind of place where analysts have a leg up. Those that move up fastest seem to be some combination of fast moving and smart analyst.

Cons

Not the most ideal for those that like to pontificate, ponder, or theorize. This company make decisions quickly and you don't want to be the bottleneck. Also not the best place for those that aren't looking to advance and grow. The company culture works best for ambitious, fast, and analytical types.
