Pros

Coming from an Agency Recruiting background, Wayfair is a great change of pace. No longer do I have to cold call candidates at work and try to get them to take contract jobs at clients who can't be bothered to be actual partners. The best thing about Wayfair is that everyone in Engineering (in my experience) is approachable, available (most of the time), and very willing to help. The hiring managers will sit with you to review resumes, qualify their business, and help with any questions. Aside from that, here are some main takeaways: 1. I've worked on three different teams in the almost year I've been here and each time I've had a solid manager and great teammates. 2. We have some pretty good tools as far as databases and sourcing tools. Beamery is good, but not perfect. We try new tools and if they work we keep them, if not we move on (looking at you, Dice). 3. Solid work/life balance. There's a lot to get done here and you have to be able to manage your time well, but in my experience everyone respects your PTO. 4. Career growth - lots of opportunity.

Cons

1. Being on three different teams brings challenges - right when you get your stride going they change the race. Somewhat of a problem, I suppose, but it's not a bad one to have. 2. The current ATS is awful but we're replacing it this week.
