Pros

You can learn anything and everything you want, but you better teach yourself. You have free beer if you need to forget your troubles. You will join a growing collective of people that will relate to every complaint you can think of.

Cons

When they say jump, you say how high. That or enjoy the same position you entered in for years until your manager resigns before you and maybe you get their job. Your work load will engulf and dominate your mind. When you finish, you can prepare yourself to do more for your next assignment without any substantial appreciation or acknowledgment. The work you complete impacts approximately 1/2000 people who will have no clue what did and why they asked for it.

Pros

Free snacks, furniture giveaways, stock and company growth.

Cons

if you're single, have no kids, not married, and are consumed with working then this is the place for you. They will chew you up then spit you out. Gave me a PIP review only after my third month then let me go. Even after working 12 hours days almost everyday. They expect you to fly all the way across the country, work a whole shift, then fly out that night. Thats wrong in so many ways. Plus they expect you to use your personal cell phone for work when you actually need a company one.

Pros

Fantastic benefits and compensation. Fun culture.

Cons

Seems to combine the worst parts of a large, established tech company and a startup, all to the end assuaging an inferiority complex with Amazon. "A tech company that sells furniture" is one of their motto, which in practice means a lot of arbitrary use of in-house tech tools and resources misspent on developing proprietary techs the engineering department can't sufficiently support. Poor communication channels between project managers and senior engineers. All assessments had to pass through project manager with non-tech background before reaching me. Never got to hear personally from senior engineers about my performance. Let got after several months with no warning. Up to that point I'd received no feedback indicating that my performance needed improvement. Given no thorough explanation and no opportunity to speak to the engineers who made the final call. Hard to recommend a company that treats its recent hires as being completely expendable and deserving of no due process.
