Pros

except free food & transport..No pros

Cons

First of all, Others reviews about Walmart GTS have been given by manager's flatterers. they write good review & show to managers. Managers themselves have no work to do in office, they are full free whole day & Be aware...and portray good images of lazy GTS employees to the Global management. but wrong thing cannot be hidden for too long in private sector..I bet, this GTS center will get shut down by top management someday very soon. Walmart e-Commerce & Walmart Labs are nice place to work. Never join GTS. Note : GTS is an extension to Walmart ISD division which is Walmart's IT team in US. My whole review is about ISD team at Bangalore. 1. HRs are useless. 2. will get promoted or importance if you are licking the feet of managers. if you are showing fake smiles n fake good morning to each one in GTS 3. Cheap politics..they hire telgu people only. if you are non-telgu then you have to keep licking feet of Telgu people in order to keep your job intact. 4. Overall compensation or CTC looks big in offer letter. that's a trick to make you food. out of CTC, 20% component is variable pay, which they never pay..15% is company shares, which they pay after four year. 5. You will find many people who has no work but just stay highlighted & maintain their visibility with non-sense loud conversations or sending junk mails to whole company eveyday. 6. If those people who spends 2-3+ years here, 80% will not be able to get any job outside as they did not nothing but enjoyed in these years. 7. management is a big liar. there are three division, Walmart GTS, Walmart e-commerce & Walmart Labs. management never accepts that these are different & say we are one..but facilities & compensation is far different in GTS & very low. for example, GTS has to fill timesheets while other two division has no timesheet at all. You may easily see Labs people enjoying luxury lunch party every weeks while GTS people have no parties at all.

Pros

great pay. great benefits. no experience necessary, they train you, then give you a useful trade, and a license to use the forklift. pays more than any of my other jobs. plus after the months and then every 6 months for the first 2 years, you get a pay increase. you go from 16.45 to 19.50 after 2 and a half years. i was willing to do any job just to get my foot in the door. but luckily i got one of the easier ones here. they do have jobs here in this warehouse that lifts and loads boxes andshipments by hand ALLL day. but as an unloader processor on the sams side, im not rerquired to lift anything by hand. I do all the lifting with the forklift! I love it. They also teach you how to use the forklift for the first time. They train you for 8 weeks. And you have weeks during training to mess up without the fear of getting in trouble. Everybody is very friendly and supportive. you dont have to deal with customers!! thats one of the best parts! I came from a call center, so all day i had to listen to complaining customers and I had to kiss butt. here i have my forklift, im left alone, i do my job. i dont really have to deal with people. i dont have to sell anything. i just take that forklift, lift things out the truck, set it down in the building then go back in until i get the rest. i do that all day. very easy. I get paid good money for this! If youre lucky enough to get a call back, definitely take it and be grateful. so many would do anything to get their foot in the door.

Cons

Pros

It's exciting to work in the e-commerce industry, especially with a company that has a lot of potential and interesting things going on.

Cons

It depends on the team, but what I personally saw were multiple rounds of layoffs, and a very cut throat environment. There is no job stability. No work life balance. You are not welcome if you have are older and have a family or kids - the majority of employees and those that are most valued are in their early-mid 20's, young, and willing to work 24/7. New management has killed the company. Their goal is to get rid of everyone at Walmart and replace them with teams from Jet; anyone at Walmart will always be inferior. They don't care about people, whether it is in retention or development. You are easily replaced if you are not a super smart young Harvard educated analytics type person. Let's just say that I had high hopes for working at Walmart eCommerce and although it was once a great place to work it has turned into a night mare and I am left traumatized by the number of extremely experienced, admirable people that I have seen suddenly walked out by security and laid off for no reason.
