Job Responsibilities: Learns about the financial goals of the facility and Company by monitoring and studying financial performance, as well as how to interpret Profit and Loss statements, sales forecasting preparing and maintaining departmental and facility budgets. Manages a facility by training and working in all operational areas of the facility operations, including front-end, sales floor, merchandise flow and offices. Ensures a safe and clean environment by training and participating in safety activities, such as risk control meetings, safety inspections, accident reviews and facility tours. Manages shrink throughout the facility by studying shrink results, identifying opportunities and training and participating in the daily activities that relate to facility Loss Prevention controls in assigned areas. Learns how all cash register and related equipment operates to quickly and accurately process Member transactions while following Company procedures, including those related to deactivating security tags, bagging merchandise, coupon redemption, state benefits programs and age-restricted items. Processes payments, maintains appropriate cash levels and controls, provides appropriate change and greets and thanks Members by name whenever possible. Learns about the Membership initiatives for the facility and Company by training and working with management, consistently following the Business Manager Roadmap to devise and implement action plans to meet membership goals. Ensures in-stock and appropriate inventory levels within assigned areas by studying all merchandise systems, equipment, reports, programs and procedures. Ensures competitive pricing and appropriate assortment in assigned areas to meet the unique needs of the community by studying and participating in the review of competitive demographics and economic trends. Ensures that merchandise is accurately priced and properly signed by learning pricing and signing guidelines and participating in the implementation of pricing and signing programs.
