Pros

The job security is great as long as you do the job and don't make enemies and the benefits are better than other places I have researched when considering a new job. The pay is for the most part fair for the new associates. As with all big companies there are the good and the bad with people and I have worked with some wonderful management as well as bad. The company is very open with statements and things that happen and its left up to individual stores how the communication is passed on. Many are very good at sharing the news good and bad.

Cons

Lack of respect for the individual, they are starting to do away with any individuality completely, all are paid on a scale and jobs are run with micromanagement. Rules not enforced fairly they have too many "exceptions". Associates are not allowed a life, days off are split so that you can not plan things, hours are starting to be very hard to understand. With todays gas prices for example why schedule a person to work only 4 hours? They have started to micromanage everything even to sending schedules down from home office instead of letting the stores handle it. Home office has no idea if a local holiday is happening. Call offs are handled badly, no individual thought goes into it anymore.

Pros

Well, paid vacation, 10 % discount, possible bonus

Cons

Well now they are big on promoting people just because they are difirent color skin or females. It's not because of your performance level. Personal testimony One female got intervied for an Assistant manager she got turned down well then the DM decided that they need more African American to meet their "" so they got her into the District Manager Possition. What a joke...........
