Pros

Been here for 2 years, started in the frozen/dairy department and now work as a certified optician. Moving up, flexible hours, good pay is great for a part time job while I work toward my college degrees to move up even further at Wal-Mart.

Cons

Sometimes it gets very busy, but if you can manage your time and multi-task you will thrive.

Pros

The company still has so much potential. It would take very little effort from new management to embrace experienced employees.

Cons

Leadership lacks direction and doesn't respect the employees. They don't welcome any skills or views that differ from their own

One of our guiding values at Walmart is respect for the individual and it's disappointing that you are not seeing that. I would really like to hear from you directly and can assure you that we have a zero tolerance for retaliation. Please reach out to me directly. - Becky S., SVP Human Resources

Pros

Great opportunities to skyrocket candidates into other areas of Silicon Valley. Cutting edge technology and exposure to best-in-class procedures.

Cons

HR was not trustworthy. I leveraged open-door policy to air some concerns, only to be confronted by my direct supervisor behind closed doors, cornered and accusing me of lying in my open-door grievance (about that supervisor). After this scenario, I realized I had to leave as I had a target on my back.
