Pros

The Willis employees are the best reason to work at this company and its greatest asset. Many talented individuals, and also access so to some wonderful clients/networking.

Cons

Retention awards you have to earn over the next three years, low pay, no cost of living pay increases, awful benefits. They have taken away the pension plan, reduced the 401K contribution, and I have not had a raise since 2008 despite working for a profitable business unit with a huge profit margin. They wont spend the money and invest upfront for quality systems, instead do every thing as cheap as possible. They have cut every corner to save expenses - sending employees repeated emails asking them to take unpaid time off, when we cant afford it. On top of that, they want you to donate your money in the company's name for their charity - cheap PR. Like previous poster stated - very Orwellian. The top management communicates to the employees like we are a bunch of naive weak minded cattle.

Pros

Pockets of high-quality talent if you are willing to seek it out.

Cons

Classic hypocrisy in operating model: they sell employers their expertise in HR matters like "employee engagement," all the while exploiting the employees' talents with empty promises of advancements that never seem to come. Promotional decisions seem to be done in the mode of a fraternity rather than a business. By the time you realize you've been duped, you have given up valuable years and passed up other opportunities.

Pros

Willis provided a very generous time off package. The Hours were very flexible. I felt I was paid very well.

Cons

Willis' corporate management is very antiquated. They practice bell curve reviews. So for every good review they provide, someone has to receive a bad review. Corporate management seemed clueless about how to manage or gain employees respect. Middle management was also clueless about how to manage.
