Pros

I was part of the building science team. Energetic and driven young group; many smart engineers; CEO was from the former MMM and seemed approachable and wise.

Cons

Still a strong culture of legacy company at the Yonge/Eglinton office; company is constantly acquiring so constant change but very poor communication from leadership about decisions - they communicate matters after they happen so you don't feel part of the company; boys club and have hard time listening to women; no diversity in the office makes for an ignorant group who does not welcome those who don't fit a mold; aggressive and arrogant engineering mentality; i'm pretty sure i wasn't paid accurately; benefits were standard nothing special. too many men at the top.

Good Company But...

Pros

Smart people, great atmosphere, high-profile projects, extensive exposure to company leadership.

Cons

Management expectations are very high, poor work to life balance. You are only as good as your last day at this company. Accountability between project team members is skewed. Very little process within IT group. Resources over-allocated makes project planning difficult when everyone is always scrambling.

Too many corporate politics in the background. Very little recognition to the people that actually win or do the real work.
