Pros

Contracting positions tend to be long term. Fairly relaxed environment. The clients you work for are fair and ice to work with.

Cons

There is no training for employees. It is easy to get stagnant with tech skills since most projects use the same old skill sets. There is no new technology to work with to at least get on the job experience with something new. There is very little room for advancement since it all depends who you know, it is very politicized. They are so tightly related to Ford/ Volvo Cars.

The company is so large that it often takes a long time to get things moving in the right direction and often there are multiple groups working on the same things without communication between those groups.
