I really like the way Volvo executed projects. There was always an avenue to approach upper management. I liked the way they handled difficult situations.

Cons

Volvo bought out Mack Trucks Inc. Therefore I had two headquarters to report and recieve requests. There seemed to be an internal competition as to who knew the best way. I was caught in the middle of the conflict.

Not a good place to work if you actually like to do work

Benefits are good, and people are great.

Cons

The majority of the people in the company are "trackers" whose jobs consist of asking the rest of the people if their work is done yet. Engineers are kept out of project meetings, then given their tasks to do at the last minute with out sufficient information or resources. A very frustrating place to work as an engineer.
