Great people, product and history at Mack Truck...knew and respected their customers. Benefits were good and they always treated their employees well.

Cons

Change in management has brought about a change in the culture...losing some of the knowledge as older generation retire

Pros

Volvo hires great people, the management shows a respect for knowing that good employees are the heart and blood of the company. Benefits and pay are very good compared to other employers. Excellent earned time off policy.

Cons

Long term plans are almost non-existent. Direct managers change yearly but the message stays clear, nothing will improve. For all the talk of transparency its obvious if you stay longer then a few years there isn't any path for employees to grow without hopping around the business units or leaving the company.
