      Pros

      It has a great corporate culture, providing an enjoyable working environment for employees. The company attaches great importance on safety and environmental care. Its organisation and governance structure are employee-centred. The HR staff are professional, friendly and supportive. The organisation is large but not hierarchical. It provides smooth channels to communicate with senior management.

      Cons

      The organisational structure kept changing almost every six months. It is not easy to follow the logic of every change and to figure out its potential impact on one's own career development.

      Pros

      Great location inexpensive to live if you do not have children who are school aged.

      Cons

      Leadership Team is in state of flux clearly poorly managed with a lack of accountability. A classic case of a Northern European organization where they do not understand that competition is a great idea and how to cross that bridge. Engineering is terrible with constant change notices and designs that require repair.

      Large global company provides opportunity to increase knowledge and skills in working across cultures. Variety of offering across AB Volvo provide some sense of security during cyclical business environment.

      Cons

      Middle management afraid of initiating and driving change. Quotas to meet their self-imposed diversity measures. High level of risk avoidance. A follower, not a leader.
