Pros

Village Green offers a fantastic benefits program with affordable health insurance - even for those providing for their families.

Cons

In the last few years, Village Green has managed to go from a great place to work to one of the most abusive environments possible. Me and my teammates were berated on a daily basis, with constant gaslighting and ridicule from upper management. It was a good day if no one left the office in tears or feeling like a failure. HR admitted on several occasions to multiple employees that they were aware of the concerns and harassment we endured, but they made no effort to help us or even make us feel validated when speaking to them. Working in the corporate office is a popularity contest gone wrong. I feel terrible for the on-site associates who are making next to nothing and will be treated like garbage when their property either transitions or leaves the portfolio.

Pros

If you love politics, this is the company for you

Cons

I was at this company for a almost 4 years. At first, I enjoyed working here. As you want to advance, you start to learn about the inner politics that are the only thing important to upper "leadership". They will tell you to move to a new city because this opportunity will show that you are loyal and help get you to a promotion. After being in this new city for almost 2 years and begged not to leave, I was lied to about a higher level position being available. Even though I was begged not to leave and told that I would be in the best position for this promotion staying where I was and I was "at the top of the list", I was again not even given the opportunity to interview nor did I receive any feedback from the VP when asked. (I do have all of this in writing). When I gave notice, no one reached out to thank me for turning "the most important property" into something that we could actually have a positive conversation about. Trust me, they don't actually care about you. They care about making their jobs easier, which is putting you into a position they don't want you to move from.

Pros

Trying to think of something.

Cons

Terrible leadership in place from area director to vice president. Company culture all around is very bad, changed markets and area directors and it got even worse. Vice president of marketing is rude.
