Great place to start working with youth. Not all of the kids are nice and friendly to staff, but once you build a rapport with them they can be lovable and show you an amazing personality. There are also lots of paid educational training that occurs every month or so-- you'll learn about love languages, LGBTQ+, social work, foster care system, trafficking, crisis intervention, etc. If you work there more than 6 months, you'll get yearly incentive bonuses depended on how long you've worked there.

Cons

One of the challenges of working here was the communication between staff and upper management. Schedules changes on the daily and you could come into work not knowing which house you're working at. Staff sometimes forget to disclose important information of certain kids like groundings or privileges that were given to them. This can lead the next shift's staff to power struggle with the client. Also, upper management has certain favorite employees. Even if you pick up shifts and take on extra responsibilities, you may not be recognized for your hard work unless you're already highly regarded by management. Sometimes it feels like high school and you have to deal with unnecessary drama.
