We have gone from a culture of customer focus to one that is completely numbers driven. At the end of the call it does not really matter if you solved the customer's concern and did it with courtesy and quality. What matters is how long it took you, how many other calls you managed to take that day, how many of those calls were transfered (and no, the company doesn't bother to research whether the transfer was appropriate), and how many credits you give out. And no, they don't care if all your credits are valid either, just the $ amount at the end of the month.

Management has the mentallity that the product will sale itself. You are considered just a number if you are not hitting your over inflated targets you will be fired and someone else will be brought in. I was an overachiever but still saw this happen to many well qualified and very good reps. There is no balance of work and personal life. You are told to not do any order entry or even return customers phone calls during the work day. All customers were directed to call centers for support. Anything besides cold calling and sales meeting will need to be done during off hours and we were told to report back to the office after dinner with our families to complete this work. Management also encourages you to use borderline unethical behavior to make sales. I elected to go elsewhere for employment.
