Pros

Pay is fantastic. I was paid well above market rates, the work is challenging and I was always busy. Flexible hours were great.

Cons

There is no career progression outside of the US. Teams are so scared that they will be next on the RIF list they refuse to share knowledge to maintain a job. There is an 'old boys club' culture at work, unless you're in with them, you're not in. The training allowance they provide is convoluted and difficult to navigate, I felt sorry for those in Asia that would have to come in early to argue with an american that didn't believe that Verizon existed outside of the US

Pros

If you have to pay rent and eat, you will like having a paycheck. Gym is nice, cafeteria is nice.

Cons

GETTO! unless you enjoy being around the Mexican mafia, intimated at every glare, high pressured sales down your throat week 1 on the phones, then this is not the place for you. I had to go to a supervisors desk and ask her to please turn the hard core rap music as a customer complained. They will tell you that you get time off that you accrue.. Goodluck taking it. You also are told you get bereavement. Caution! You will not only need a copy of a death certificate, a coroner's report, also a third party verification by phone as well as searchable by internet, so unless you know everything down to the deceased social security number, you will be terminated for this under "false information" I am still in contact with the person this happened to. Also, when you sign up for the employee phone program, you will NEVER get to call in to the employee customer service, so if you need tech support or hello with plan or bill..too bad! You will be micromanaged to the point you start to feel like a science experiment and literally having anxiety when arriving at work, on more than one occasion, I literally cried in the parking lot before going in. This is by far the worst employer and job I've ever had. You will get the old sing and dance from every employee and manager that they introduce in interviews and training (hand picked of course) saying they live their job, would never leave.. Yada yada yada... It's BS at its finest. Beware! If you are starving, then hey this job well feed you until you get fired for not meeting your sales. If you have any other option, I mean ANY (taco bell, McDonald's, etc.) Take it! I promise you your dodging a bullet!

Pros

Good pay, excellent benefits. Work from home.

Cons

Cutbacks cutbacks cutbacks. Clear all IT development is going to India. India techs are awful and make job unenjoyable. Hours are horrible now due to having to coordinate with team in India. Impossible work loads. Constant layoffs. Just laid off 40% of IT. Even laid off India team members. Despite constantly saying otherwise, the red tape is getting thicker by the day. This isn't wireless and they bleed money. 100% focus on dividends over people.
