Pros

a decent amount of paid vacation. 50% off of cell phone bill, they also give you a company phone that you can use instead of personal phone that is unlimited. and you don't have to pay. you can save $2000/yr on a cell bill. The following can be seen as a con as well, but they will hire about anyone with a pulse... Turns out to be a pro because they hire lazy people that would rather sit around than help customers. If you're a motivated sales person you can help 5-6 people in a row, which results in a pretty good paycheck.

Cons

Expect upper management to drive 1 of 4 things - selling tablets, ensuring you take customers to a kiosk and having them self serve, selling data to customer, selling smartphones... In the last sentence, did you see anything about customer service? You could be a 90 year old man that is blind and the expectation is that you must be sold a smartphone, with unlimited text... oh, you want to pay your bill, change your device, add an account manager... please go to a kiosk... If you value ethical behavior this is not the place for you. Oh the sales rep forgot to tell you if you switched phones you would loose your 4gyg data? sorry about that you're out of luck. As a sales rep you feel like you can do little to nothing to correct customer issues. If you're a customer you will be sent a refurbished phone via mail. As a sales rep if they see someone come into the door with a brown box the entire room will scatter. 1.2.3. not it! obviously the hours, if you want to make a decent amount of money you cannot take weekends off, as they are the busiest. Did I mention that you constantly feel like you're taking advantage of people?

Pros

Pros are basically worthless in this company as you never know when you're gonna be kicked out of the company. There is no Job security here. You can see from the below Sudden layoff Move you to IBM Move you to Infosys Move you out to HCL (NobodyJoins a product based company like Verizon to get moved to an Service based company like HCL)

Cons

No Job Security as you can see from the below. Avoid joining this company even if you've landed a job here by mistake don't stay here for more than a year. look for a better company with job security for the following reasons. Sudden layoffs Employees kicked out to IBM Employees kicked out to Infosys Employees kicked out to HCL which is the worst happened so far (NobodyJoins a product based company like Verizon to get moved to an Service based company like HCL)

Conflicting Goals

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Positions that are remote feel convenient and comfortable. Pay is good in areas that pay close to minimum wage for most jobs.

Cons

Conflicting Goals are established as trade secrets and employees can try to do the best for their customers, but if it involves lowering their bill (even if we are upgrading service) Customer Service Reps are punished. I also have to get approval from management to simply remove features at customer request, because the company is so concerned about maintaining funds that management is willing to waste customer time before we can help manage a customer's own plan. System issues are constant, which is ironic for a company meant to focus on network management. They want us to guide customers to use "self-serve" apps, but they often have system issues as well. These system issues will also translate to loss in work hours, because the company refuses to take any responsibility for system issues whether the people that get harmed are employees or customers.
