      Probably the best company I ever worked for

      Pros

      Cellco aka Verizon Wireless is a true leader in the wireless industry. Employees tend to take genuine pride in knowing that they are working for a premier company. The culture of Cellco, during my time there, was generally one where employees were genuinly valued and were seen internally as the single biggest key to the company's sucess.

      Cons

      The wireless field in the US has matured a great deal and Cellco is as affected by this as it's competitors. Significant cuts have been made since I was laid off in February 2009 and there is considerably less oppotunity than there had been due to that. Things should improve after the recession lets up.

      Pros

      - Benefits: vacation, 401k, medical, dental, life, and more - Good compensation - Always had great supervisors/managers/directors

      Cons

      - VP level and up are elitists and do bad things for business such as: * try to drive land line sales, rather than TV/internet, in direct opposition to customer wants * hold quarterly layoffs, leaving employees in a constant state of panic/fear * focused on Northeast territories/policies/culture/practices even though other regions are more profitable * move headquarters from NYC to middle of nowhere, expensive, and cold New Jersey town

      It is a supportive company but , dont let them fool you there is a lot of bs behind the scenes and also a lack of willingness among employees and managers alike to help the customers

      Cons

      A major division between managment and the employee . As if they were not even working in the same place somtimes.
