Pros

The employment experience at Vail Resorts ultimately serves to give you an appreciation for working elsewhere at a privately owned ski resort that sincerely strives to show appreciation of their employees and offer a competitive compensation and fringe benefits package to "valued" employees.

Cons

You will miss the good old days prior to when Vail Resorts acquired the privately owned ski resort at which you were employed and enjoyed working.

Pros

best. skiing. ever. 4 weeks vacation and the benefits (at the time but now curtailed) were pretty awesome. best run ski management company in the country (of course, the bar is pretty low in the ski industry).

Cons

way underpaid and the culture became bland when senior management moved the company from Avon to Broomfield. that management attitude might have boosted the stock, but for employees it is so unbelievably demoralizing. very little opportunity growth.
