Thank you for the great review! Our iconic destinations are one of the many reasons that people are drawn to work here and stay with Vail Resorts. We get to work where people pay to take their vacations and there’s nothing quite like it. We do recognize that with that some of our locations come with unique challenges. Kirkwood and Grand Teton Lodging Company are more remote than many of our other locations. We recognize that the remote nature of the locations is some of the appeal, but can definitely make some of the everyday amenities available in other areas a true challenge. Thank you for your passion to work in these beautiful but albeit tough locations!

Pros

Mountains, perks, industry, mountain towns, mountain girls, O-Pens, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breck sucks

Cons

Pay is horrible, but just enough to get by. Everyone is replaceable and 75% of middle management are are a cross between Bill Lumberg and Simple Jack. Definitely worth it for a year or two though for the industry and the perks, as long as you didn't need to worry about making money.

Pros

Fun, active, outdoor. You get to spend a lot of time teaching people a new skill. It's a fun environment to work in, even in the negative temps.

Cons

Vail Resorts corporate structure is frustrating at times. The lower level managers are level headed but bound by the bureaucratic nature of such a large corporation. Definitely manageable.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! Passion for the outdoors and snow sports is something that runs throughout the company, thank you for joining us in that! It’s incredible what a great team and fun job can do to make a very physically hard job worth it. We also recognize that being part of a large family of companies offers its own challenges. However, we are always asking for ways we can improve process and offer the exceptional level of customer service. We would love to hear from you on any ideas you have. Feel free to e-mail us at recruiting@vailresorts.com.
