Pros

This has been a great place for professional and personal growth, owning your space and delivering value - sky is the limit. I am excited to see us continue to grow globally!

Cons

With the new RTO/Hybrid policy that will go into effect in September, we will be required to come back to the office 3 days per week (within 50 mile radius of the HQ). This is all to build our culture… it seems leadership has forgotten about the culture we have created post-pandemic and tone-def how this change will affect many of the top talent (including me). June/July has been tough loosing key team members due to this new policy. What happened to the corporate office being a “tool” or “resource” to support our work? Stock price is down to its lowest point in 4 years, and we continue to get pressure to increase our annual output with smaller bonuses.

Pros

Corporate building blocks are in place, which make effectiveness of your job easier. For example there is a safety culture and system for making sure employees are trained adequately.

Cons

The cons are quite literally the fact that anyone excluding the front line up to Entry level management absolutely DOES NOT care about operating ski resorts, nor do most of them know how to. COVID clearly did a number of cleaning house because every facet of the corporate office is utterly useless. HR is a complete joke, especially since they keep trying to find 'innovative ways to market' but do absolutely nothing to actually assist employees in acquiring a job. In high school we were taught to apply, then follow up with the hiring manager. That is absolutely not an option. They are also so focused on acquiring employees for seasonal they do absolutely nothing to retain staff, so you're constantly hiring keystone positions along with seasonal staff and getting people who have 0 knowledge of the industry trained by more people who have 0 knowledge of the industry.

Pros

Great colleagues in the IT organization. Excellent leaders on certain teams. If you can stay on long enough you can gain good experience.

Cons

If you raise concerns that don't align with leadership's narrative, those concerns are dismissed. If you continue to raise those concerns, instead of trying to understand and address them, leadership will dismiss them as coming from someone who doesn't have what it takes to be part of their leadership culture. After all, they can leverage their brand to hire someone new. If you're not a director or above, you're replaceable. The above concerns include work/life balance, compensation, and team input on prioritization. IT has lost several all-star employees due to all this.
