Pros

Obviously the industry is a very fun one for someone that shares a passion in snow sports. In addition I was able to learn a lot and develop skills that helped me get hired in my new role.

Cons

The compensation structure compared to others in the same industry was a bit low. Additionally the hours required to complete my responsibilities was rarely anything under 50 per week.

Pros

Season Ski pass (Vail, Beaver Creek,Breckenridge, and Keystone) limited access to Abasin, etc. Retail environment and heavy work schedule during PEAK selling ( Christmas, spring breaks, etc.)

Cons

Store Managers, over worked during Peak Season, salaried based on 12 months but only working 6-8 of those months. Seasonal workers do not get holiday pay, sick time, or over time. Starting pay is very low for management position.
