The best ski hill in the world! Great benefits (if you qualify). Terrific way to spend a gap year after college.

Cons

Do not believe for a minute that they are looking for people to challenge the status quo. Toe the line or hit the road. Does not pay a sustainable wage for mountain communities. Hard to qualify for health insurance.

Snow sport retail naturally creates an environment that centers around having fun and thrill-seeking. It attracts fun and passionate people from all walks of life. Coworkers share a common positive mindset stemming from the shared obsession with the ski and snowboard lifestyle.

Cons

For the most part, customers are polite and want to utilize your expertise to maximize their ROI in ski equipment. However, there are a few that will test the reasonable limits of customer service. Snow sports attract a certain segment of entitled customers that expect their every request to be fulfilled. Patience and compromise skills are a must.
