There are really smart and competent people at VMware. Employee experience in the Palo Alto campus is great with food, fitness center, concerts, celebrity visits, TED talks like speaker series, and events.

Cons

You run into people who lack professionalism more so than what I experienced at my previous company.

Lots of primadonas work here making it very difficult to do the right thing. They have been there a long time, and any change for the better is considered a threat. As a result, they will use their political connections to have you fired.
