Pros

Best in class technology and products. Everyone is treated fair and with respect. Health benefits are much better than other companies

Cons

There aren't too many things to not like about VMware. If I had to not pick it would be the 401K match is capped each quarter.

Pros

VMware Foundation empowers employees to give back to their local communities... both time, talent and 100% match of donations. They even sent $30,000 in free software to a local non-profit because I simply asked to help them - sincere, meaningful impact. Palo Alto campus is outstanding, with a great vibe and culture! Great technology and solutions that truly save companies millions... and saves the planet, by reducing power, cooling and floor space.

Cons

Virtual Office / Home Office is very much removed from the outstanding campus culture in Palo Alto... so keep this in mind. Starting to be a BIG company now.

Pros

Good compensation and benefits Good technology space (if you get in the right group, much is still legacy)

Cons

Not a place to work unless your political leanings now fall under the new "woke" demography If EPIC2 was ever really a thing the company threw it out the window this past year For many, all these points have been impacted Hard to focus on execution when you are being coerced from the top level to change your views on traditional family values often including graphic visuals (latest corp. training videos anyone!? what was that about) , mandatory training on topics such as unconscious bias and guessing critical race is likely next These aspects always existed and there have never been any issues previously. VMware was focused, friendly, open and generous in giving back under Pat. What the hell happened this past year!? Whoever is pushing the changes, those invisible hands that have impacted the world, has introduced division to a level I have never seen before in my 20+ years in this industry and I have worked in some pretty harsh environments Pretty crazy now when you see directors showing up with pronouns clearly listed on their Zoom meetings. Knowing many of them, there is no way they would have done this unless under duress
